Onboard The Train

Relax and enjoy – your journey is about to begin.

Once you are aboard the train and settled into your cabin or seat, it's time to explore.
In Platinum and Gold Service, the hospitality attendant will stop by your cabin to make sure you are comfortable. Your attendant will explain how to use the cabin facilities and answer any questions you may have.

You'll find the lounge is the centre of activity. Relax over a drink. Meet new friends from all corners of the world. The choice is yours – and don't forget to check out your complimentary issue of 'Platform' magazine.

If there are two meal sittings, you will be asked which option you would prefer to attend. While you are at dinner, your cabin will be converted into a cosy bedroom. (Gold Twin Cabins feature upper and lower bunks. The top bunk is accessed via a fold-down ladder.) Then, while you enjoy a cooked breakfast the following morning, your bed will be put away. In Platinum and Gold Service, there's not a meal to cook, a dish to wash or a bed to make. All you need to do is relax, unwind and enjoy your journey.

In Red Sleeper Service cabins your Hospitality Attendant will visit each cabin to explain where service carriages are and the functions of your shared bathroom and toilet facilities. They will also explain the conversion of your day cabin into the night setting.

In Red Service Day/Nighter Seats, your Hospitality Attendant will address the Carriage following departure, with information on onboard facilities, safety and the journey.

Red Service Guests have access to our fully licensed Red Service Diner - a great place to take in the ever-changing view from panoramic windows, or enjoy a drink or two while socialising with friends, new or old. The Diner offers affordable and tasty light meals, snacks and drinks for purchase.
